I have been wanting to knit a blanket for my bed for some time now. Every time I want a new doona cover I see cover after cover and they are just never spot on to what I want. After I finally finished or should I say 'when' I finish I will buy a plain one and use the knited blanket as a cover. I wont lie I have no doubt it will end up in the lounge room a few times and end up on the couch with me. BUT before I do that I need to knit the blanket, getting a bit ahead of myself, I know. I did have the intent of doing a granny square blanket. Having never done a granny square in my life apart from an attempt the other month where I was almost down a crochet needle aka it almost went out the window.
I ordered some wool from the Bendigo Woolen Mill that arrived this week and boy is it gorgeous and soft and lovely and I just love it. There was one colour that is now on back order, but I can still work with what I have... And now this below is the blanket I am going to attempt from Martha Stewart HERE. It states that if you can knit a scarf you can knit that blanket. Scarves I can do, so this should be a walk in the park?
