It's winter in Australia and right now I kid you not my office is so cold, brick house or what ever. I'm a grinch when it comes to having the heater on during the day just for me. I don't stop being a grinch there, I also don't like the girls putting on the heater till after 5pm during the week. Lately I'll admit I haven't been as harsh on this as it's COLD dammit. I have a hot water bottle in my top right now, haha, while I'm looking up how to knit or crochet gloves, as you do?
Then I decided to share the inspiration I found over the weekend, most in garter stitch as I'm a one style girl. But love when I knit on circular needles as for some reason it give another stitch. Here are seven items I found and now want to aim to have made for winter.
This vest/jumper HERE. Planning to try this in brown as I bought a bunch of balls a couple of years ago. While it's not in English I opened it in google and translated it. Looks simple enough... Famous last words.
These mittens, HERE. Look awesome and once I figure out how to read a pattern aka get mum to explain it to me, I'm making a set. Because right now my fingers are freezing.
This scarf it an awesome idea on using a bunch of left over odds and ends of the wool I have in my basket left over from previous projects. Might be a it of work all the adding and what not, but it's winter and I have netflix.
These finger less gloves, HERE. Is something I knitted up over the long weekend just gone and just need to stitch them up. I plan to knit a lot more.
This chunky beanie, HERE. Looks like a lot of fun to make and I'm hoping easy also. I do know how to crochet also, but again I'm basic and I need tutorials that are detailed or youtube clips to fully figure things out.
I've had these blankets, HERE. On my pinterest for a LONG time now. Knitting 10 strands together would make awesome chunky blankets and I 'may' look at this after I've gone and attempted a few other things I have shared above and below.
These coasters HERE. I've had these on my TO DO list for so, so long. It has 3 of my favourite things, coffee, knitting and black and white.
