So I actually did do wood in January but forgot all about posting it, so that will come and then I almost forgot all about posting this one and just making it in on time, right?
I want to work with 12 materials in 12 months and that doesn't mean I have to just do one, for one month, if I wanted to do 2 or 3 then I can but to knock them all off within the 12 months.
I really have always wanted to learn to corchet but always put it in the too hard basket without even trying. I started looking at you tube and a few online tutorials and thought it was time to give it a go and so I did and I went in with the frame of mind to try doing a few times knowing I would make mistakes then when I got the hang of it pull it all apart and start for real.
Being the above is done with instagram it's not overly true to colour, it's more a mustard yellow, I have a cardigan in the same colour and I love it and others always comment how it suits my hair colour.
The weekend the girls started school I hired 2 dvds and 1 season and I was determind to get it finished and I was surprised by the second movie I was done.
I made it so that I can wrap it around twice. I love the colour and I love the pattern and I love that I taught myself all from this HERE This girl is amazing, I watched a few online youtube videos and by this one was the easiest to follow and understand and detailed. I have already started making another one and this one I plan on making it smaller but longer in the neck and another one for a friend.
So I guess if there was one thing I wanted to try and get across in this post, is that, never think anything is to hard, be sure to try first, I am so glad I did.
wow, clever girl. what a gorgeous colour. it really suits you. and I love the big stitches! go Kellie!!

I loved seeing this on IG. You did such a great job. Yours came out just like hers.I have also used this same you tube video. Mine are pretty but mine look like I used a different stitch, and I am an experienced crocheter (?). If you want to learn more stitches/patterns try this you tube user Meladora1. I think her instructions are very clear and easy to follow. She even does slow motion!

That colour is awesome on you! I'd love to learn to crochet too, but don't have the patience. You rocked it!
