I tossed up about designing a Halloween based stamp set for Kellie Stamps. Being I'm Australian and while it's catching on over my way, it's still not a big as how my creative friends celebrate across the seas.
Even so when given a kit, or anything Halloween based, I instantly love creating with it. Same goes for this stamp set, Booya. I grabbed out some October Afternoon I'd been hoarding for SO darn long and this is the result.
If you happen to read in my last post it was about the fact tat I created three layouts in one sitting by laying everything out and going for it. This is the third and final layout I created. I aimed for four, but the fourth just wasn't working for me. I even got out the old sewing machine. I've used the Dream Big stamp set that I just feel "goes" with this collection. I love nothing more than a photo of all three of my daughters and I usually scrap the crap out of it, until another comes along, haha. This is how my girls rule.
It's been a while since I placed an order for a paper collection. But once I spotted the All Heart collection, oh did I need it! I ordered from Australian online store Sassy Scrapper, HERE and the service and timeline of my delivery was spot on. I knew if I didn't start using this collection, I would hoard it. This is something I'm not down with doing this year. This is the layout I created. One of three that I created that day. I love that the paper pad is 6x8 as that is the size I scrapbook in. I've used the DREAM BIG stamp set from my online store, Kellie Stamps, HERE.
It's the long weekend here, woot woot and over the weekend I decided to create something in one of my TN from Studio Calico just because. It felt so good and I can feel my dwindling craft mojo coming back. I've used digitals from Papercakes by Serena Bee, radical love. It was fun to work with and it's an old selfie I've had floating around for a few years now.

Lately I've been loving doing a layout here and there. I started crafting doing 12x12 layouts like I think we all did right? Then around 2015 my crafty friend Emma did the most AMAZING layouts and I was shocked to find out they were as small as 6x8. I had started doing the 8x11, thought I'd give 6x8 a try and the size stuck! I've made this layout with a Messy Box kit that is no longer sold, but I still have PLENTY of supplies. I'm using the NEW Kellie Stamps, stamp set, Hello Summer.
You can purchase your Hello Summer stamp set, HERE.
Hello everyone, it's Kellie here to share a mini layout I created in a 4x4 mini album. These little albums are the best for documenting your memories. They can be used for the one theme or many. I decided that since my girls are getting older I would use one to document all their book week dress up days.
We don't celebrate Halloween in Australia, not like it's celebrated in the USA. But my girls once a year have book week where they get to dress up as a book character. It's so much fun to dress them up and see how excited they are and now that I only have one of three daughters doing it, as one daughters has finished her schooling and the other started high school where they no longer take part in dress ups. So I thought it was time to have them all in the one place, like a mini album.
Do you know what I love about this kit? EVERYTHING. The acetate sheet that comes with the kit is silver on one side and a purple on the back. I used the purple as a backing the this little layout of my girls dressed up day from a few years back. Harry Potter and a witch, the perfect match.
I then layered around the instax photo with the die-cut shapes ephemera pack and used some left over strips from the card I made and shared previously strips. I also used one of the little pop pop paper clips, HOW stickin CUTE are they? I'm trying not to hoard the rest of the three from the packet of four.
I grabbed a pocket that has 4 mini squares and cut up the 12x12 pattern papers and again used some of the die-cut shapes ephemera pack with a flair button.
Hi all, Kellie here with you again this month to share a layout I created using the NEW kit, Magical and Mischievous. I started in paper crafts only scrapbooking, then moved to cardmaking and then back to scrapbooking and pocket page albums. I love everything paper crafts. Now let me show you the layout I created.
I like to create layout in the size 6x8. It's a size I tried when a friend of mine, Emma, showed me her amazing work and I just loved the size. I've always found 12x12 a little too big for me, while 9x12 isn't overly large, but 6x8 is just perfect. I've used a instax photo from a snap chat photo I took of myself around this time last year. It fitted in perfectly with this kit as we don't celebrate Halloween down here in Australia. Although even that wont stop me from creating a few more layouts with this kit.
Starting with a plain white cardstock I love to layer when creating a back drop. So I grabbed the pattern paper to create a background. It's either I create a background or plain white space, one extreme to the next when it comes to my style sometimes.
I then grabbed out the ephemera die cuts and layered up. This is my FAVOURITE part when it comes to creating a layout. Sometimes I have to stop myself as I just want to add it all. I'm really happy with the final result and the way the layout turned out. It gave me the itch to create even more layouts again.
Want a little tip? You might even do this yourself. Often when creating anything I lay everything out, move things around till I'm happy with it. Then of course you have to stick it all down, which means taking it all off. Now this is where I can forget what went where, get distracted, walk away and come back and think, ugh where did it all go? I take a quick snap on my phone and then I have a reference. This also works well when you can't decide should that pumpkin go there or the black cat? Take a snap and you'll get your answer.
I created this card using the new Magical and Mischievous kit from The Fairytale Club HERE. Now most of us down here in Australia don't celebrate Halloween, but that doesn't mean I don't absolutely love working with Halloween theme. The pumpkins, witches, black cats, bats and so much more, what's not to love?
Did you know that the 12 x 12 papers come with patterns on the bottom part of each sheet where the name of the sheet is located? I always love cutting them off my The Fairytale Club kits and using them almost as a washi tape look.
Here is how I created this card. First of all I started with a base of kraft cardstock, my favourite and then worked my way through the strips of off cuts, as I mentioned from the bottom of the 12 x 12 papers included within the Magical and Mischievous kit. Once laying them out and moving them around and happy with the layout. I got out the CUTE to boot ephemera packets, because this month the kit comes with two. One set is all silver foiled and spooking awesome.
After having fun with all the ephemera I popped on a flair button, BOO. Then called it done and I really love the end result.
So don't throw out the off cuts along the bottom, cut them out and make a fun card with them!
Do you enjoy making Halloween cards?
I'm back again to share a little creation I made using the new Hello Beautiful Kit from The Fairytale Club as part of the new design team.
A little tag album! Have you tried one of these? They are so fun to make. In saying that this is only my second time making a tag album and wont be my last. Not only that, I also got to use a bunch of older insatx photos I'd been hoarding for years, of my three girls. Almost all were taken with my instax camera before I got the instax printer that can I add, I absolutely LOVE to bits.
Where do you start when making a tag album you might ask? For me it was all about the photos first. I start by grabbing a bunch of photos. After I know I have enough photos, I sit with the kit and photos and work out what suits and which matches and get the idea on how I want to go about it. Then the fun part really starts, cutting up the pattern papers to make the tags.
I work section by section or tag by tag. I like to have everything laid out in front of me on my desk, all the ephemera, die-cuts, stickers and flair. I really do make quite the mess, but having everything laid out helps to see what I have, making it easier to move things around until I'm happy with the result. The Hello Beautiful kit all works in together so beautifully I loved working with it to make this album.
This mini tag album came together so well and the kit is absolutely beautiful, which made working with it super easy. Check out the Hello Beautiful kit from The Fairytale Club, here.
I follow amazing and creative women on Instagram and my feed always feel like a bucket load of inspiration daily. So when I saw the idea of taking an old project and re-newing it, I love it. Some people I saw do this went WAY back and after looking back I decided to go not so far back and picked this layout I did around 2012/2013 that I actually still like to this day. it's of my since passed boy Wyatt. I thought it would be fun to scraplift myself in a pocket page notebook style and with my girl Valerie.
KELLIE STAMPS USED : CATS LIFE stamp set, HERE. Almost sold out and wont be re-stocked!
SUPPLIES : I've used a paper that I've cut up from the Oasis, Crate Paper 6x6 paper pad collection.

Mother's Day is just around the corner, why not make something instead of buying a gift? The amazing people at Spotlight sent myself and other creative people some products to create with. I wanted to see just how many different projects I could make . I had tried for a few more, but not all projects work out and go to plan, but that's ok. There is always a lesson in there to be learnt. I'm still working on another one.
I was given some wool, cardstock, twine and glitter. The glitter threw me a little. If you don't know this, I'm not a glitter girl.
CROCHET BASKET with the wool.
HEART BANNER with the twine.
PINWHEEL WALL DECOR with the paper and glitter.
The pinwheels are for my wall in my craft area. I've wanted another little something to go on my wall for a while. I've actually still have a pinwheel I made almost 5 years ago, something crazy like that hanging in my craft/office. You know what? I don't even mind the glitter I added? WHO knew!
The crochet basket was so much fun to make and then put together. I already want to make more. The only thing, I tried at least 15 times to make handles and I just couldn't get it to work! Any tutorials you know? Send them my way please. In the end I figured it was ok without any handles.
Last of all the crochet heart banner. Thing is already hanging in my craft/office under my book shelf and I LOVE it! Honestly pink and purple are not colours I'd usually go for, but I actually really like them together for these projects.
CHECK OUT your local Spotlight store for supplies. Often Spotlight have ideas on leaflets throughout the store. Why not treat yourself and buy yourself something to make just for you! Because YOU deserve it this Sunday.

Before I share this layout I created for Gossamer Blue, after June I will no longer be on the Gossamer Blue design team, so this is my last blog post as part of the team. The June kits are all amazing from Gossamer Blue, but my favourite would have to be the main scrapbooking kit. It's not often I can pick a favourite, but the reasoning was mainly because of the pattern paper by Simple Stories. I think you might know from previous posts her on the Gossamer Bue blog by myself, that I have a thing for circles and especially when it's a pattern on a paper line.
I grabbed a favourite photo of mine from the Summer just gone as we are now in Winter here in Australia. Black and white is sometimes the best way to go when you work with a lot of colour. For this layout I most certainly did work with colour. I also added in some stickers from Kellie Stamps that I'm looking to re-stock soon.
I got all the embellishments from the Gossamer Blue, June kit and went about filling the circles on the pattern paper with enamel dots, acrylic, alphas, stickers and more from the kit. In the end I had to stop myself from over embellishing, haha. But I loved the result. Best of all I still have so much left over to make even more layouts to document those special moments in life.
Today is a great day for all the paper crafting people out there, why? Because it's National Scrapbook Day. Right now I'm about to get into some donuts, coffee, Grace and Frankie on netflix and get my craft on!
Jessica from Color Cast Designs and I decided to get together to host something for the day. We are setting a challenge each, with 3 prizes to be won. COMBINE both our challenges on the one project to win a combined prize from both Jessica and myself. Or heck join my challenge, then Jessica's and then both? After all it's National Scrapbook Day!
MY CHALLENGE : Mine is pretty straight forward, stamps and more than 3 types of embellishments. This means, flair, veneer, stickers, enamel dots, ribbon, rub on, acrylic and so much more.
I scrap lifted this from creative team member Diane with her permission of course. She gave me some suggestions to make it easier and I was like pfft, come on, how hard can it be........... Let me just say she got a 'told you so' in there, haha! But it was fun once I got the stamping down pat. Then came the rest of it. I thought being black and white, it would be easy. Regardless I'm rather happy with the end result and love my little instax machine as I just took this yesterday and already it's in the album, another coffee memory kept.

I created this layout using the February main add on kit from Gossamer Blue. When I opened the kits and seen the floral pattern paper I knew exactly what I wanted to do with it, something I hadn't done in a long time. I'm more of a quick works best when it comes to doing layouts. But I wanted to cut out the floral designs. At first I cut a WHOLE bunch and had them all over my page, but my photo was lost. I needed that even balance of floral and white and this was the result.
I even cranked out some mounting tape that I'd been hoarding for years and often went to throw it out when I'd have a clean up of my craftroom, but always held onto it, boy am I glad I did! The mixture of navy with the reds, tan and green/blue was a great contrast and made my black and white photo of my daughter and I, well our feet stand out. Not usually one for navy on my crafts, I absolutely love it on this layout and kit.
I love that it was only ONE bit of pattern paper used on this layout with stickers and text, yet I feel it looks like so much more.
Don't forget to check out the gallery, with the creative team, because wow they are amazing. Did you also know we now have a facebook group? Where you can come and share your creations with the kits? HOW awesome huh? Check it out, here.
