Want to see the new April personal planner kit from @cocoa_daisy in under a minute? Then I’m your girl! It’s absolutely gorgeous and I’ve already started to look forward to planning in April.
The month of February is the month of love and so I had a thought of loving myself a little more and reminding myself of what makes me happy. I instead of jotting down my day in this section of my planner. I decided to instead use the daily for documenting what I’m grateful for that day and on the opposite side I wrote a short note to myself on the CUTEST sticky note pad paper EVER.
January didn’t turn out fabulous for me and I really didn’t want to bring that into February and so I wrote this note that I could always go back and reflect on. I actually enjoyed this process so much that I’m considering taking it on again in March. It’s also fun to grab out your stickers and have a play and I did just that for the first week. I absolutely love that cute little dog and hope he makes an appearance later on again.
The next week was a full week. the thing about gratitude is there is always something to be grateful for. Even the smallest thing can brighten your outlook for the day. Something as small as your coffee. I decided to keep with the theme of the sticky note macaroon and do it every week. I did plan to decorate a lot more, but I felt the weekly page with a few added die cuts of stickers was all that was needed for this week.
This week was all about being grateful for getting a spring clean started in summer and technology allowing me to keep in constant contact with my eldest whom recently moved state.
I’m a sucker for pink and this months kit had all the pink feels! The thing with typing on the typewriter and acrylic nails is that sometimes you hit a key by mistake while hitting the right key. I’ve learnt to just go with this and accept it as a happy, funny flaw. This week was all about being grateful for a trip to get new blinds, a supportive husband in my never ending ideas on achieving my goals for February, creative mojo coming back finally after having a struggle for some time and lastly a lazy Sunday.
I think we all need to hear this at some stage right? I love the quote that is below as it feels like it ties in, a little progress each day adds up to BIG results. Motherhood described if you ask me.
I challenged myself this week to try and use both a sticker and a die cut and not just one and not the other. Fair to say, while only small with the sticker I did achieve this. I was grateful for so many different things so far this week. Grateful for the support of my parents in trying to achieve me goal and the help they are offering, grateful for painting a coffee table with my youngest and is now proudly out of storage in the lounge room with all our favourite family games stored at arms length.
My dear self this week was to remind me to STOP feeling so overwhelmed and to remember how far I’ve come with our goals for February that I set. I’m the type of person that wanted it all done, yesterday…
If you consider after reading this of starting next month or heck RIGHT now, I can highly suggest that you do write down one thing you are grateful for everyday or write yourself a note. Something you would write for someone else, do it for you.
I'll be sharing below the planners I'll be using for 2020 from top to bottom in the photo above. Oh and one I'd forgotten. But is it really a planner..... mmmm you decided.
I was actually going to try and trim down on the planner game and focus on mainly just the one for 2020, let's all laugh about that. When I was trying a few sizes I got the A6 from Cocoa Daisy and I was SOLD. I got my cover from Australian brand Mumsy and Bub and I knew that this was going to be my go to, in my bag planner. So you'll be seeing more A6 from Cocoa Daisy in 2020 from me.Personal size is my size. I'm loving it. I actually thought I'd prefer the A5 size, turns out the personal size is more for me. I got my cover from Mumys and Bubs and right now I'm trying to figure out how to add the rings in a TN style cover. This was just a quick mock up and I've got some ideas. No doubt I'll be sharing a finished style soon. I'll only be using inserts and more from Cocoa Daisy of course, even if I wasn't part of the amazing creative team, I LOVE the style of inserts.
This Happy Planner is different than your average happy planner style. I'll be using this planner as my social media planner. I know this might sound silly, I get it, but when you share as much as I do, Kellie Stamps, blog and looking to film more in 2020, I need to have a place to have it all in the one spot. I like using the monthly spread to figure out my instagram, facebook and blog posts. Something about getting things on paper and having it in front of me, helps.
The inside works for my social plans and then the rest is daily lists check list, which HELLO this list girl is in love, haha.
My daily go to planner, will always and forever be my, Get To Work Book. It's NOT pretty inside, lol, because there are scribbles, highlighter and daily to do lists, all go on within this planner. It's pretty much my dump all.
This planner 2020 Happy Planner I'm going to be using for my memory planner. After starting it up again in 2019 and LOVING it and actually finishing "most" of it, I knew I had to have a dated one this year.
I did it again, I grabbed another month and made it the month I wanted. This is the South Beach A6 daisy dori from Cocoa Daisy for July 2019 and I went and changed it to January 2020 for my on the go, in my back little helper during our summer holidays. I also did my second ever flip through and voice over.

Personal planner change of mind take two, haha! If you don't know what I'm talking about, check out my blog post from yesterday, I purchased the gorgeous June 2019 insert and sticker kit from Cocoa Daisy. I'll tell you what, I re-filmed at least 301 times ok maybe 20, felt like 301, haha. I think the only other time I've done a voice over was on that app that was live, it was before stories on instagram, mmmm, I forget what it was called now? It was some time back and I did a few of my memory keeping in my albums that were all about me and I think maybe one unboxing of a gossamer blue kit. Maybe being live made it easier, I don't know, but I got there in the end. Few mistakes in wording and what not, but meh, new, lol. I decided to go with December 2019 instead of January 2020 as I, A. don't want to wait that long and B. saw the mood board for the new kit and feel it will suit summer in Australia. So here is a filmed look at how it looks so far.

I didn't realise until going over what I'd filmed. I got my nails done this morning, I have a wedding this Friday and the red was not going to match my outfit at all, and now they even match my planner, haha. OH and the dashboard idea I mentioned came from Jennifer at @happyplaceplanning.
Eeeeek I'm so excited! My personal planner inserts and stickers from Cocoa Daisy arrived and already I just want to sit and plan and play. Yeah look, more and more I'm completely understanding this planner gig. Minda you I'm yet to learn all the planner lingo, but getting there slowly. Check out the hyperlapse of what I got :

Now I'm sure you've picked up that it's for the month of June 2019. BUT, down here in Australia we are entering into Summer next month and so my plan is to completely change this to the month of December 2019 or January 2020 I haven't completely decided just yet with another insert on the way. Can I do it? I guess we shall see huh! You know I'll be back with an update and I may even do a walk through with a voice over, eeeeek, nervous.
I'm so excited to share with you the NEW planner release from Alex Marie Designs that you can find HERE in her store now. Then when I saw the Nordic Woods digital printables from Cocoa Daisy HERE, I knew right away I wanted to mix the two together.
In the end this plan and project worked, then it didn't, then it did some what and then I still have to go back and fix up a few things. Like the main cover with stamped title, Christmas 2019 with the Bishop Alpha from Kellie Stamps. I mucked it up, which annoyed me as I planned it out, spaced them out and then stamped too far to the one side and while I do have more of a "let it go" attitude with my crafting lately, this I couldn't let go, haha. I stamped the title on a off cut and covered it, but plan to go back and stitch around with my sewing machine. After printing the planner off three times, I just worked with it. No fault of the products, only of my own and the lack of understanding of my printer. We're friends again now, just, haha.
How cute is this Christmas count down? I don't know if I plan to colour or use one of my circle stamps and stamp over the image in like a light shade of green, red or blue to keep with the theme.
Love that November was included! I will be filling this in today with my typewriter which is pretty much how I plan to document in this planner.
LOVE this and what I love even more about this is the fact that Alex has not only asked questions but with the added explanation. Giving me a clear and easier guide to journal.
This is almost my favourite in the whole planner. It's pretty much a one line a day sort of journal and one I plan to STICK with, because it'll be fun to go back to. I decided to use the Cocoa Daisy printables and cut to size to add my own little insert and my idea is to document my highlight of that week.
In all I love the way it turned out and can't wait to have all my Christmas plans and memories in the one place. More details can be found on my blog via my bio, along with links to products used.
I'm really loving the size of the personal planer so far. I'm also looking into the A5 style/size. Look just give me all the planners, haha! I want to try them all. BUT for now, I love that it's small, but not micro small and then not too big at the same time. Perfect for my tote and on the go. I always set a reading goal in the new year and 9 times out of 10, FAIL. Which I'm fine with that. I find I do most of my reading during Summer? Then stop for long periods of time. I'm the type of person that'll read 2-3 books in a row and then nothing for 3 months. No balance over here, haha. I thought it would be fun to have a place to have a list of either read or want to read. A great place to quickly jot down books suggested via IG, etc. That is how the idea for this insert came about. I've used the September 2019 printable, Book Club from Cocoa Daisy and the stamp set I designed, Read More from Kellie Stamps.
Do you make a reading goal?
Had a little play earlier today with my new personal planner from @carpediemplanners. With stickers from the seasons and numbers range. I've now got January all ready for 2020. Bring on Summer.
I know I seem very planner orientated lately and that's because I am, haha. But I still love working on my normal crafts, pocket page notebooks, layouts and etc. I have a bunch ready to share next week.⠀I'm pretty much new to planning even if I've been doing it since July this year.⠀There is still so much to learn and so much out there. So I'm more trying to find a style I like, what works and what doesn't. Because of this I'm giving it all a try. 50% of the products, I already had just sitting doing nothing in my craft room. Like this B6 planner from @pumpkinpaperco.
I grabbed the freebie from @cocoa_daisy and the Bolton Numbers and Bishop Street Alphas from @kellie.stamps and honestly I'm rather happy with how it came out.⠀After-pen. It's more a check list than a planner. I love checking things off, don't you?
Happy mail from @carpediemplanners. Yeah look, I've fallen into a planner hole. Also in my defense, they had a up to 75% off sale. Even with exchange rates, it was a bargain. I had to get myself a personal size to try and I mean you need stickers right? Can't go past cute stickers. Okay maybe I have a problem.
It seems to be a Traci Reed Designs sort of day , lol. Not planned, just how it panned out today. I saw fellow crafter Sabrina post to her instagram a share of her planner spread, using the Ghouls Like You, digital kit from Traci Reed and LOVED it. When I saw Traci's spread in her planner, it sealed the deal for me, I was doing it. Some fussy cutting later, [maybe Santa might bring me a silhouette?, lol]. I'm sharing this a little ahead of time with still only being up to August in my happy memory planner and I haven't gone and typed all the stories in for the week. But I was wrapped with how it came out and god knows when I'll get to October, haha. So just had to share now.
I got asked why I don't blog my planner spreads, but share them on my other social media outlets. I didn't really realise, but I don't often if at all, blog my planner spreads. If I'm completely honest I'm still a little new to it all this planning jazz. Even if yes, I've been sharing off and on since July this year.
I wont even lie, I remember seeing decorated planners in my feed way back when and my first thought was, 1. how do you see what you have to do or events... Being a list girl planner, that looks like a 5 year old scribbled the list. 2. Why would you spend that much time in a planner? I can now say with a red face, I GET IT! I absolutely get it.
I personally find planning relaxing? I did dabble in planning in about 2015 I think, maybe it was 2016. I just couldn't get the hang of it. I also HATE my own handwriting and I think that played a HUGE role in sharing and so I just stopped.
It all started again around June with the micro planner. I started seeing them appear in the craft world and I loved the idea. By July I had one and even started sharing. From there it just grew. My sticker collection grew, my planner collection grew and my sharing became easier, YUP even with my own handwriting. I mean look, there are times I'll use the typewriter instead, because, welp, not feeling it that day. Also no rules when it comes to planning.
I've really gotten back into memory planning and in fact considering doing it for 2020, without project life? I don't know, it's just all thoughts at the moment.
My go to planner will always be my, get to work book. It's pretty much my to do list on the daily.
I recently got the Amy Tangerine Happy Box... Yeah I know, but look, in my defense and I have two excuses, lol. First being there was a 30% off sale, I mean come on! 30%... Secondly, there is a wonderful thing that gives you the impression you can afford anything called 'afterpay', lol. I'm using this planner for the rest of 2019 and into 2020.
So there you have it, a bit about my planners. I'm even 'planning' to share them more on the old blog here. I've got more... but more on that another time.
