When I first started project life I remember trying to not have a photo a day, but at least more than three days to document.  But then I think last year or mid the year before I realised that if I only documented the one event for the week then so be it.  That was our week, that was our life.  This week, week nine in my family project life album was all about attending the Spotlight craft month launch.  My girls and I had an awesome day and here it is :

This week in my week eight I kept it simple and it focuses mainly on my younger two.  Where is the teen?  The teen was home sick for a couple of days and so she didn't make it for school photos.  Luckily they actually arrange for another day for people that couldn't be there on the day.  One kit, no stamps.  This is how week eight turned out in the family album.

Week six was all about the girls school swimming sports day, food and Heidi going for school house captain and SRC.  Last school sports for Kira with her being in year twelve.  Most of her year dressed up for the occasion and Kira and her bestie went as hula girls.  Heidi got a third for her event, which was big news as the girl tries and tries and usually doesn't get a spot.  Chloe pulled in a first and second in her events.  Here is our week six for the Winnell family.

Here I am at week five.  The week my girls went back to school for another school year.  Where Kira entered her last year of schooling.  Heidi started her last year in primary school and Chloe, well Chloe started grade four.  So that is what I kept all this week about.  The memories of our routine photos on the balcony.  Because next year there will be no Kira.

Today it's week four and in week four is was a short week with our favourite holiday, Australia Day.  I've also gone and used the new alpha stamp sets that I released at Kellie Stamps.  Our girls were still on school holidays, last week technically.  We went out for dinner on the Monday.  The girls and I went to the library and Kira shouted us maccas for lunch on the Friday?!  Was a week well spent with my girls before I'm alone again.

Today it Thursday and that means it's another project life share.  We are looking at week three in the family project life album  The girls were still on school holidays  and it was Luke's last week off before returning to work.  We took the Christmas decorations down.  The girls and I went to Melbourne to watch a movie with a girlfriend of mine and her daughter and to top it off we went skiing.  An eventful week for sure.

So far I'm not doing too bad in the project life 2017 album department.  Usually I try and use a different kit from mainly A Beautiful Mess for each week to mix it up, but this one just worked in so much better with the bright colours than the other summer kit released in 2016.  So two weeks of brights, pink and oranges, I can handle that.  This is our week two with loads of movies watched by the Winnell family :

I'm on the right day and I'm sharing this year!  Can I just give myself a pat on the back for having my 2016 album finished by first week of January and all blogged by second day into February.  With my 2015 album, I didn't finish until October 2016.  The first week of January is always spent all or most at our favourite place in the world, nope not Disneyland, for us it's a little place called Ulupna Island.  Our summer camping trip we all look so forward to each year.  I came home with my girl tribe on the 4th, leaving the husband to have his 'man' time also known as, fish all day till Sunday.  I literally used one kit and one stamp set and I loved it!  Here is what the first week of 2017 looked like for us Winnell's.

project life 2017 cover with freebie

Last year I did almost, well pretty much the exact same cover, that you can check out, here.  Honestly there have been a few years where I don't even have covers on my albums and sometimes that gets to me a little.  So for this year when I was thinking what to do, what to do.  I thought, I'm going to do the same again.  I got this idea that if I continue with this now and 'maybe' go back and do the years before, it's almost like a look first glance at how much my girls have grown every year since.  (While typing this I decided to go back and do 2015 as I did project life in the size, 9x12 album. Difference is two things, photos were from actually 2015 and not 2014 and I feature alone and not with Kira).

2017 with project life plans

PLANS FOR PROJECT LIFE 2017

Oh hello a little peek of the release for Kellie Stamps in January there, wink, wink.  Every year around this time, right after Christmas and before the New Year, I start to re-think how I want to document our lives in the new year.  Last year I didn't blog my plans for 2016 until January, why?  Because I didn't know how I wanted to approach 2016, I was confused.  This time I only had to have a little think on how to do 2017.  Yeah I went through the whole, should I keep doing it, or should I stop all together.  But I could never stop, I'm just always behind, as usual.  Documenting our lives for me is my ME time, give me some photos, paper, stamps and so on and you have one happy redhead from down under.

I've already had a few people ask me what my plans for 2017 are and if I'm going to document at all.  My answer is 9x12 and YES.

• I'm only using the one album for the whole year.
• I plan to add a little extra journalling in 2017, using the collect app and my little typewriter.
• Blogging my pages and REALLY sticking to it.  Massive fail in 2016, but not annoyed with myself.... OK maybe a little.
• Use what I've got was the plan for 2016 and I did really well.  I'm subscribed to the Messy Box kit and plan to use it each month as well as the kit from The Paper Curator and cards from Push Print Studio, these companies will all feature heavily in both albums I plan to do in 2017.  Of course Kellie Stamps will feature almost each and every time.  It's a given.

PLANS FOR PROJECT 'MY' LIFE 2017

In 2017 I plan to continue to do the project based all on ME.  I take a lot of photos of my crafts, food, coffee, and more coffee and often they get pushed to the side when it comes to documenting our weekly memories and so I decided to start an album called 'project 'my' life back in 2014.  I've really enjoyed doing this in the 9x12 sized album using the black and white striped A Beautiful Mess album, which I hope to god they bring back as I'm sure I only have one more year left in it maybe two more, before I will need to invest in another album.  I plan to document in the same album and doing so monthly, not weekly when it comes to this album.  But I do have a few extra ideas going on in my noggin that I'll be sharing if I do them, OF course, duh Kellie, haha!  If I'm honest this is my FAVOURITE project I do each year.  Just call me "self absorbed" haha.
