Being that I love stamps, if you didn't already know, I love using them in my project life albums and another thing I love to use a lot of, is photos. Sometimes I do stamp directly onto my photos, but I found a way to stamp on my photos that are darker without actually stamping directly onto the photo. I like this to also make sure the stamp will look good with the photo, if not then I save it for another photo, almost like a template? If that makes sense? I suck at explaining, you've been warned, haha!

When doing this I use the following :
- Photo
- Archival Ink
- Mini Stapler
- Vellum Paper
- Kellie Stamps

This photo of Kira I love, never leave your phone in the car with this girl, you come back to 20 something selfies. I knew I wanted to add a stamp, but there isn't really a fitting spot for a stamp and the photo has a lot of dark space. I start by picking the stamp I think I want to use, by laying it down over the top of the photo. This stamp is absolutely perfect for this girl of mine.

I then cut a bit from the vellum paper to my desired size and stamp it. I've found that some vellum the ink will soak in and blotch. With vellum paper like this I stamp first on a scrap bit of paper without stamping hard and then onto the vellum and never have an issue.

9 times out of 10 I'll staple the vellum down. Sometimes I don't use anything, sometimes double sided tape. The only thing with double sided tape is that you can often see it, sometimes it might just blend in enough.

There is the end result. This is how I stamp on photos, without actually stamping directly onto them. Even if you find the stamp wasn't for the photo, then you can put it aside for another, use as a template as I said. I know I'd rather do this, than waste a photo and have to re-print, that stuffs expensive! Heck I even do it on photos that don't need it, it's a rad effect.
Hope that helped some of you, that love to stamp, love photos, but because of darkness etc, you can't stamp, NOW you can!
