project life 2019 | week #41

Ok so week 41 was a slow one, not a lot of photo taking was done.  I've also fallen out of the need or want to take photos all the time?  It used to be natural and not so much anymore.  As I've mentioned over and over, my girls are a lot more active now days, without me.   Weekend just gone for example, oldest was out Friday night and then gone Saturday for a course all day.  Middle was out with friends all day on the Saturday and youngest still away at a school camp.  I mean even my husband was out playing cricket on the Saturday.  Not complaining I spent the day crafting, lol.  But there are only so many photos I can take of my coffee, haha.  A few people suggested on my instagram when I skipped a few weeks to combine and so I've sort of done that in my own way.  Here is week 41.

remembering december | day #2

Going off  the list I created, HERE second on the list is RED.  I love nothing more than buying a new poinsettia, keeping it alive is another thing being a plant killer.  But it does at least last for the month of December.

The weather is picking up and we are getting out and doing more, which usually all involves food for me, haha.  The other weekend I tried mango iced tea with strawberry popping balls for the first time and OH MY WOW.  I got a small in case I didn't like it and now I'm trying to think of any excuse just to travel 45 minutes to get another one, haha....  So good.  So I wanted it to be the front and center in the album.

I think this project is one I manage the best, because even when I'm falling behind, because I do one pocket both sides per month, caching up is easy and always fun.  So the week just gone I've gone and done a little catch up and this is how my September looked in the album all about ME.

Nope I didn't miss a blog post, I didn't do week 24. It's funny because I've missed week 24 or 25 for the past two/three years.  For some that might annoy their OCD, but for me I literally had NO photos and no stories.  I attempted to stitch around the heart and that didn't turn out as planned, but hey I tried, lol.  So here is what week 25 looked like in the family project life album.

I really thought when I moved to this smaller sized album that I'd struggle for the first few weeks being in the smaller size.  Even known I knew it was the right decision.  Instead I'm loving it and it's given me the boost to get back into documenting our lives again.

project life 2018 | week #17

I've made a change....  It's a big one, well actually it's a small one.  I've been struggling with project life recently and NOT just this year.  In fact for the past three or four years when it gets into Autumn I stop documenting our lives in the family album and after a month or more of not doing it, I start to wonder if I want to continue.  Then come Spring I get back into it and play major catch up before the new year.  I've moved from 9x12 to 6x8 starting with week 17.  God help my kids when they get older figuring out what album goes with what year, last year I changed mid way to 6x12, haha.  Maybe I should just do a summer album as it's when I love to document and more motivated  ANYWAYS....

Last pocket for my 2017 project about me, but this is also the last pocket page to go into my album.  I now have three years in the one album and I love looking over it.  It's time for a new album for 2018.  I will admit that I am not loving this months pocket page for December.  I almost didn't do it at all, but I managed to get it together.  This is what my December looked like in my personal album.

The month of November pocket page came together on one side and the other I struggled with.  I'm noticing a slight change in my photo taking from the past couple of years to now in my album all about me and that's the lack of photos.  If that is at all possible.  The months get busier from November to December and I taking photos is normally at the back of my mind where as 101 other things are at the front, I know you get it right?  I'm not crazy, lol!  In all that here is he month of November.

Week Eleven in the family project life album was all about colour.  We had a birthday party sleep over where we made slim and decorated mason jars for the slim.  After that was over we headed to my mums to celebrate her birthday with the fam bam and had an awesome day full of games and laughter.

Another two weeks for 2016 under the belt.  For week 46 I used the kit from A Beautiful Mess, but I mainly had only 3x4 cards left, but the patterns and colours worked in really well for the spread.  So I just made them work for me.  I skipped week 47 with only having two photos for the week. I wasn't going to fill pockets just to make a week work.  Wanna know what's funny?  I skipped week 47 last year for this reason?  Must be something about that week huh?  Here are two more weeks of 2016 in the Winnell family project life 2016.

project 'my' life | november 2016

It's almost the end of the year, SO close and I am thankful that I have kept up with this here project.  I have December to do and I'm away right now camping [scheduled blog post], so I don't mind having to do it when I get back, with the girls on holidays and Luke will still be off, it's such a laid back relaxing and often crafting time for me.  BUT before all that let me share my November with you all.  Something different I did was to add a 6x12 insert I made using the BH pocket page.  I mean Gilmore Girls had to have their own feature right?

Here I am sharing my month of October finally from my project album all about ME, project 'my' life.  I've done this now for 2 and a bit years, [didn't finish all of 2014].  I love this project, maybe because of all the coffee photos, maybe because there really isn't a story, just photos and playing with crafts, two of my favourite things.

The Paper Curator | Kit Review

Around September this year, Cecily from The Paper Curator shared an image on her instagram of a kit Cecily designed and produced herself, [the one above], and I knew right away, I had to have it.  You all know I love instagram and it's not a bad platform to share new product lines.  The postage from US to Australia is really reasonable.  The kit arrived rather quickly and when I opened it I couldn't wait to share.  It was amazing and the quality is even better, thick cards.  You get enough supplies for at least 2-3 weeks of pocket page spreads.

After receiving my first kit order, I've ordered every kit since then.  It doesn't matter that the above is based on fall, with pumpkins and the mention of scarves.   I've been using the kits for my, project 'my' life, here.  PLUS for the fact that regardless of the season, I love it.  The kit pictured below is Cecily's most recent kit for November and I've already almost used it all, [finished pages to come].  I love a kit that is that good, that you get the need to use it right away.  I used to hoard kits like this. But this year I gave myself a good talking to, haha, with doing a clean out of my craft room / office.  Not once but I had to do it twice.  Cecily has a share of the December kit on the 14th of this month and release on the 16th.  I can NOT wait!
